Terms:
Terms for the characteristics of the current supply
Different furnace manufacturers describe their current supply in a variety of ways.
Below is an explanation of the various terms used.
Plasma Voltage: Voltage which keeps the discharge continuous or one with
a pulse relationship of one pulse tv = ton (ton + toff).
Plasma Current: Current which results from dividing the discharge voltage by the internal resistance
of the discharge distance.
Plasma Potential: Plasma achievement = plasma voltage x plasma current x pulse relationship.
Nominal Voltage: Output voltage of the generator under nominal load.
Nominal Current: Output current of the generator under nominal load.
Nominal Output : Nominal output = nominal voltage x nominal current
Pulse Voltage: Momentary voltage during the pulse
Pulse Current: Momentary river during the pulse
Pulse Potential: Momentary achievement during the pulse
